LegalKeys facilitates the resale of digital activation keys that have been legitimately purchased from authorised sources. The resale of legitimately purchased digital goods is permitted under the principle of exhaustion of rights, as affirmed by the Court of Justice of the European Union in UsedSoft v Oracle (2012), and we apply this principle in good faith to our operations.
3. Prohibited Items
The following are strictly prohibited on LegalKeys:
- Stolen or fraudulently obtained keys
- Keys obtained via chargebacks or payment fraud
- Region-locked keys sold outside their intended region
- Keys that violate a publisher's terms of service regarding resale
- Counterfeit or duplicated keys
